AI consulting in Vienna for SMEs and mid-sized companies
I advise leadership teams in Vienna and across the DACH region on whether and how AI pays off for them. It starts with a free 20-minute call, then a written review from €1,500 fixed price with a clear recommendation: build, buy or stop. At least half of the cases are solved by good software, without ongoing AI costs.
Who this is for
For leadership and IT heads in SMEs and mid-sized companies who want to use AI seriously and don’t know where to start. Often licences are already bought or a pilot is running, but nothing reaches production.
- Companies in Vienna, Austria, Germany and Switzerland
- On site in Vienna, otherwise remote, in German or English
- Startups before funding are better served by the AI Factory Austria programmes

| Format | Result | Duration | Price |

| Briefings, trainings, talks | For leadership, teams, boards, associations and conferences: what AI and agentic building can do, what they can’t and what it costs. Available as AI literacy training under Article 4 of the AI Act. | 45–120 minutes | on request |

How this differs from an agency or academy
- I build myself. Five products of my own, one of them live with paying customers. AI agents write 95% of the code there; I steer and sign off.
- Software before always-on AI. At least half of the cases are solved by good software: adapting existing systems, adding modules and interfaces. Ongoing AI costs only where they pay off.
- Stay independent. Often a smaller model you run in Europe yourselves is enough, with an architecture that keeps running when a vendor goes down.
- A no is a result. If AI doesn’t pay off for your case, the review says so and you save the project.
How it works
- Conversation
You describe the situation in three sentences. Afterwards you know whether and how I can help. If I can’t, I’ll say so plainly. - Review
I check value, data, risks and dependencies: what you can do on your own, what connects to existing systems and where AI is really needed. - Decision
Build, buy or stop: you decide on a clear basis. Stopping is a good outcome too. - Build
AI agents write the code, I steer what gets built and in which order. Every week there is a version to try. At every milestone you can correct course and sharpen the goal. - Safeguard
Security, data, permissions and cost are checked automatically. If something is missing, everything stops until it’s fixed. - Production and handover
I stay with it in production until your team can run it: ownership, documentation, next steps.
Quick answers
What does AI consulting cost for an SME?
With me it starts with a free 20-minute call. An AI architecture review costs from €1,500 fixed price, a prototype sprint from €7,500, interim AI ownership from €4,500 per month. Prices exclude VAT where applicable.
Do we need an AI strategy first?
No. The review settles exactly that: what AI makes sense for, which data it needs and which vendor you would depend on.
Do you come on site?
In and around Vienna, gladly; otherwise remote. Workshops and briefings also in Austria, Germany and Switzerland.
What if AI doesn’t pay off for us?
Then the review says so and you save the money for the project. A deliberate no is one of the most valuable outcomes.
